Chase DeLauter is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Cleveland Guardians. He was the 16th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft out of James Madison University. DeLauter is currently the Guardians’ #2 prospect and ranks #54 overall according to MLB Pipeline.



Despite being a highly-touted prospect, DeLauter’s career has been plagued by injuries, including multiple foot surgeries, a hamstring strain, a toe injury, and core muscle surgery. Most recently, he underwent surgery to repair a right hamate fracture in July 2025. However, he made his MLB debut on October 1, 2025, in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series against the Detroit Tigers, becoming only the sixth player in modern MLB history to debut in the postseason.
